OLED iPad Mini, M6 iMac, and New MacBook Pros Available From Today
Apple's latest hardware lineup--featuring the new OLED iPad mini, the M6 iMac, and updated MacBook Pro laptops--is officially available to purchase starting today. Customers can now order these upgraded devices online or pick them up in retail stores worldwide.
Starting today, Apple's new hardware can be ordered directly from Apple's online store and in the Apple Store app. The first customer pre-orders are arriving today, and devices are hitting shelves at Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers.
What Features Does the New OLED iPad Mini Offer?
The eighth-generation iPad mini stands out as Apple's smallest tablet with an OLED display. Its 8.5-inch Super Retina XDR display delivers up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, an impressive 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 1-nit minimum brightness setting for low-light environments.
To reduce glare in high-light conditions, Apple is offering a nano-texture glass option on the 256GB and 512GB models for the first time on the mini series. Powering the OLED iPad mini is Apple's A20 Pro chip alongside the N1 wireless chip, which delivers support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
At just 5.4mm thin and weighing 255 grams, this OLED iPad mini is the lightest iPad Apple has ever built. It is also the first iPad model to receive an official IP67 water and dust resistance rating. This rating is made possible in part by an innovative Acoustic Display system that project audio directly through the glass screen, eliminating speaker holes in the outer chassis.
For video calling, the 12MP Center Stage front camera has been repositioned to the landscape edge. The tablet retains compatibility with the Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C). Notably, the screen remains locked to a 60Hz refresh rate without ProMotion, which has been the main point of criticism in early reviews.
OLED iPad Mini Pricing Breakdown
In the United States, pricing for the OLED iPad mini starts at the following price points depending on configuration:
- 128GB Wi-Fi model: Starts at $699 (Education pricing starts at $649)
- 256GB Wi-Fi model: Starts at $799

What Upgrades Arrive with the M6 iMac?
Alongside the small tablet, the new iMac represents the first refresh to Apple's desktop all-in-one since the M4 generation. The new M6 silicon brings options for up to a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU.
Apple states that the new chip delivers up to 2x faster graphics performance compared to the prior generation. Connectivity features get a boost as well, with built-in Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and an optional 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port integrated into the power adapter.
The M6 iMac starts at $1,499 for the 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU version, while the higher-end 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU build starts at $1,699. Education pricing for the line begins at $1,449.
How Do the Latest MacBook Pro Models Perform?
New MacBook Pro laptops are also making their market debut today. The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 starts at $1,999 and packs a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU, and Apple's N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support.
For high-end buyers, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touchscreen PROLED XDR displays have also officially arrived. Priced starting at $2,899 and $3,399 respectively, these machines run on M5 Pro or M5 Max processors.
The new touchscreen laptops replace the top notch display cutout with a Dynamic Island interface. Their screens provide up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness for standard SDR and high-dynamic-range HDR content.
If you plan to order online, keep shipping times in mind. Apple's store indicates that many custom configurations of the 14-inch and 16-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro in Space Black and Silver currently show 2-3 week shipping windows. Customers who want one immediately will have better luck finding base configurations stocked directly at local Apple Store locations.
