Activate Parallels Desktop 19+ on Mac

Are you using Parallels Desktop 19 or a newer version on your Mac and need to activate your license? This guide is for you! We'll introduce the Parallels Desktop Activation Tool, a special application designed to help with this process. Please note that this tool is intended only for research and educational use.

For those unfamiliar, Parallels Desktop is powerful software for Mac computers that lets you run other operating systems, like Windows, without restarting your computer. This means you can use Windows and Mac applications side-by-side, easily drag and drop files between them, and even launch Windows apps directly from your Mac's Dock. It offers excellent performance, so you can smoothly run demanding Windows programs, even those with heavy graphics.

🔑 Key Features of Parallels Desktop

Before diving into the activation tool, let's explore some of the impressive features that make Parallels Desktop a top choice for running Windows on Mac:

⚙️ Efficient Work Performance

Parallels Desktop lets you switch between macOS and Windows (or other operating systems) without any interruptions, so you don't have to restart your computer or reconnect to servers. You can effortlessly share files, folders, and images, and even copy-paste content between your Mac and Windows applications. Need to preview a file in Windows File Explorer? Just use macOS QuickLook. Want to find definitions or synonyms? The macOS Dictionary works directly within your Windows apps, making your workflow incredibly smooth.

🚀 Speedy Program Launch

Thanks to smart design and optimization, Parallels Desktop runs natively on any Mac, whether it has an Intel processor or Apple's M-series chip. This means programs start up incredibly fast. For example, Windows 10 can boot up 38% faster! This significantly boosts your productivity when using Windows applications. Even the most demanding, graphics-heavy Windows apps run smoothly without slowing down your Mac.

🖥️ Easy Package Management for All Mac Models

For business users, Parallels Desktop Business Edition offers a unique "U2B" feature. This allows you to create a single installation package that works for both Intel-based and Apple M-series Mac computers. You can also use profiles in your Parallels Enterprise account to easily manage virtual Windows machine images across your organization.

🛠️ Simple Management Tools

Managing licenses is a breeze. You can use a single license key for many users or create separate sub-licenses for different departments, branch offices, or contractors. With access to real-time usage statistics and license activity, you can keep track of how licenses are being used. You can also choose to enable automatic updates to keep everyone on the latest version or set up your own update server for more control.

🔒 Robust Security Features

Parallels Desktop allows you to add your Mac's Windows instance to your Active Directory, just like any standard Windows PC. This ensures that your company's security policies are enforced. When you plug in USB drives, smart cards, or other external devices, those policies will apply when you use them within your Windows environment on the Mac.

🌐 Integrated Mac Management Deployment

IT administrators can use deployment packages to easily set up, distribute, and adjust Parallels Desktop settings across many Macs. You can also add Windows applications directly to the Mac Dock and enable "single-application mode" using common Mac management tools like Jamf, InTune, Kandji, Mosyle, and Munki.

🌟 Instant Access to Essential Applications

The "Coherence™" mode is a game-changer. It hides the Windows desktop entirely, allowing you to use Windows applications as if they were native Mac apps. You can switch between Mac and Windows with just a click or a swipe. If you prefer a traditional PC experience, you can set Windows to full screen, making it feel just like a standalone Windows computer.

📋 How to Use the Parallels Desktop Activation Tool

This activation tool is designed to work perfectly with Parallels Desktop version 19 or higher. A key benefit is that you generally don't need to disable System Integrity Protection (SIP) or use complex launchers or startup scripts with newer versions of this tool (from version 3.0.0 onwards, this tool has been updated to be compatible with the commercial version of Parallels Desktop and does not require account login). Please note that this tool has primarily been tested on Intel-chip Macs. To avoid potential issues, support for Apple M-series chips was removed in version 3.0.0 and later.

Here are the detailed steps to use the activation tool:

  1. Begin by freshly installing Parallels Desktop. For versions of the activation tool older than 3.0.0, you would typically register and log in using your email address (you can use a temporary one). However, with version 3.0.0 and newer, this step is no longer necessary as the tool supports the commercial version directly.
  2. After you've installed the patch (the activation tool), you might see a "corruption prompt" when you try to open Parallels Desktop for the very first time. To bypass this, open your Mac's Finder, navigate to your Applications folder, right-click on "Parallels Desktop.app", and then select "Open" from the context menu.
  3. For optimal performance with these activation tools, it's generally recommended to turn off System Integrity Protection (SIP). To do this, you'll need to restart your computer in Recovery Mode. Once in Recovery Mode, open Terminal from the Utilities menu and run the following command (double-click to copy):
    csrutil disable
  4. Finally, restart your computer. If Parallels Desktop still crashes after these steps, it might be due to library verification. While older versions of the activation tool might have handled this automatically, newer versions expect you to do it manually. Here's the command to disable library verification (double-click to copy):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist DisableLibraryValidation -bool true

📦 Download Releases

Please be aware that while the patch has undergone many modifications to ideally run with SIP enabled, it hasn't been tested extensively in such conditions. Therefore, there might be some unforeseen issues. For this reason, we still recommend turning off SIP and backing up your virtual machine files (PVMs) before applying this patch. The Parallels Desktop 19.3.1 version works best with the latest version of the PD Activator.
